The Find-Outers (comprised of Daisy, Bets, Larry, Pip and their leader – the ingenious Fatty) are together again for the holidays, and delighted with the news that their nemesis Mr Goon, the odious village policeman, is away on a police course. That leaves them free to enjoy themselves without his constant harassment – until their latest mystery pops up!
There is a thief in Peterswood, one who manages to sneak in and out of houses without being seen, despite leaving large (and obvious) boot and glove prints everywhere. The five are on the scene due to the fact they've befriended one of the girls who lives in a targeted house, and so Fatty takes the opportunity to investigate the house thoroughly. Will they be able to figure out who the thief is in time before anyone gets hurt?
